How do I teach macromolecules in biology

Can I be honest? Teaching macromolecules could very well be one of the most boring topics in Biology! Well….it was for me….until last year, when I decided to re-vamp my lesson plan to include more engaging activities. Today, on the blog, I am sharing some ideas for  Teaching Macromolecules in Biology . Introduction One of my most effective teaching strategies is to expose students to content BEFORE it’s taught. That is the purpose of my   Introduction to Macromolecules Close Reading Packet . This resource allows students to get foundational information so that I can build on that knowledge later with a lesson. Lesson and Notes After my students have established a foundational understanding of the four macros, I quickly run through a lesson that showcases each macromolecule, its structure, function and importance. Reopening day. 1st Assembly

Reopening Day Teacher's Assembly.  “A good education can change anyone. A good teacher can change everything.”   The School commenced after the summer break on 29.08.22 with a special assembly conducted by the teachers thematically marking the welcoming of the dearest students. The physical assembly began with the Quran Recitation followed by some encouraging thoughts and interesting facts by the teachers from different departments.  Students paid keen attention during the entire assembly. An air of solemnity and reverence was maintained throughout as our Respected Principal addressed the students and motivated them to carry out their work dedicatedly. The academic year marked the beginning of a goal to make the students critical thinkers and active problem solvers and also to stay safe. As “well begun is half done” we expect that this academic year will definitely take our school to the next level of greatness where success is not an option ...
